Council of Ministers approves National Program about the Holocaust Memory - Project Never Forget
2020 marks the 80th anniversary of the rescue by the Consul of Portugal in Bordeaux, Aristides de Sousa Mendes, of thousands of men, women and children, many of them Jews, in addition to the 75th anniversary of the signing of the United Nations Charter and creation of the United Nations (UN), 65 years of Portugal's accession to the UN and 75 years of the beginning of the Nuremberg Trials.
